Yep, that’s my brother-in-law doing the worm to Vanilla Ice!

I’ve been meening to post these for awhile. My little sister was married back in October, and we are so happy for her and her new husband Brent! The whole night was a blast, although it was a little weird not being the photographer all night. Obviously I still couldn’t put the camera down. They did have my good friend Teresa Ousely of Wiz of Oz Photography to be their photographer. I also had my other good friend Shannon Colgan of  Shaze Impressions running a photobooth for Heather’s reception.

Here are a few that I took, the photobooth shots at the end were taken by Shannon Colgan and processed by me. Had to have one of all the photographer’s, it’s towards the end from the photobooth of me, Teresa, Shannon and Tassy.

Spring is finally here! I’m so excited to get out & start shooting again.  Winter has lasted way too long.

This Sunday I got out with a few other photographer’s as part of the Quad-City flickr group. It was our biggest meeting to date.  My friend Teresa Ousely of Wiz of Oz photography brought two gorgeous models with for us to shoot.  Stephanie Pauley & Teresa Sellars, I can’t believe these girls, they tromped around the village in the cold in these tiny dresses, while about 20 photographers surrounded them.  They were so nice & they did an amazing job.

Here are a few of my faves so far.  I’m sure I’ll be posting more soon.

Sorry, there haven’t been a lot of blog post lately. I don’t know what it is about winter that just makes you want to hibernate, but I’ll admit I’ve been a bit lazy lately. Hopefully spring takes over pretty soon cause I’m so ready to get out. Anyways last weekend I organized a meet-up for some local photographers (if your a photographer & you want to join us some time check out our group at http://flickr.com/groups/quad-cities/) and we all got to pretend it was nice out at the Quad City Botanical center. It was a lot of fun and I got to meet some fun people & take some pictures. A big thanks goes out to Teresa Sellers, Lindsey Joens & Mandy Moore for modeling for our group. :)

I was really lucky last weekend, I got to meet up with a photographer friend of mine, Joe, and Lindsey again, she’s a friend of mine from college and she’s done some modeling for me and a local photography group before. She’s a great artist and model. Plus she crawled around a giant press and got covered in ink, just so we could get some good photos. We had a blast, and I got some really great photos, and Joe taught me a bit about using gelled (colored) flashes to get a different look.

Despite that comment about gelled flashes, the lovely background light here is all ambient, I love finding cool lighting like this. The cool flash used for fill was a nice contrast.
